Customer policies
Clear expectations.
Better projects.
These policies explain how custom manufacturing, uploaded files, store purchases, and delivery are handled. Project-specific terms shown on an approved quote take precedence where they differ.
Custom manufacturing
Made to your approved specification
Custom parts are produced from the files, materials, quantities, colors, finishes, and notes confirmed in the final quote. Additive manufacturing naturally includes visible layer lines and small variation in dimensions, surface, and color. Tell us before approval when a dimension, fit, cosmetic surface, temperature, chemical exposure, or load is important.
Initial automated estimates are not final offers. Production begins only after Narwhal3D reviews the job and the customer accepts the final scope and price.
Files and intellectual property
Your designs remain yours
You confirm that you own or have permission to manufacture every design you submit. We use uploaded files to review, quote, manufacture, support, and reproduce your authorized orders. We do not sell customer files as products without explicit permission.
Please do not upload confidential information that is not necessary for manufacturing. Contact us before submitting export-controlled, regulated, or unusually sensitive designs.
Payments and cancellations
Final pricing before production
Store items are charged at checkout. Custom projects may require full payment, a deposit, or a Stripe invoice after review. Tax and shipping are shown when applicable. Contact us immediately to request a cancellation; custom work already started or materials purchased specifically for the project may not be refundable.
Shipping and pickup
Carefully packed and traceable
Turnaround and delivery dates are estimates until confirmed. Tracking is provided for supported shipments. Customers are responsible for supplying a complete delivery address and inspecting packages promptly. Contact us if a shipment appears damaged, delayed, or missing.
Returns and problems
Tell us when something is wrong
Because custom parts are made for a specific customer, they generally cannot be returned for preference changes after approval. If an item is defective, damaged, or materially different from the approved specification, contact us promptly with photos and the order number so we can evaluate a reprint, replacement, repair, or refund.
Unused standard store merchandise may be eligible for return after contacting us for authorization. Eligibility and return shipping depend on the product and reason for return.
Responsible use
Some jobs require additional review
We may decline unlawful, infringing, unsafe, deceptive, or weapons-related work. Standard printed parts are not certified for medical, life-safety, pressure-containing, food-contact, aviation, or other regulated uses unless a separate written agreement explicitly defines the required material, process, testing, and responsibility.
